Krause Fights Off St. Boniface

Young GDI protege Joshua Krause stood tall throughout his game this past Sunday.

The Minor Atom playoffs had Fort Gary Black competing against St. Boniface Red at Gateway. Krause displayed an array of technical skills during the game that he was taught at GDI Prairies training center. Heading into the A-Side quarter finals next Sunday, Krause looks to shut down his next opponent.

Winnipeg's young minor hockey goaltender Brayden Lee finds success over his 2010 holidays as he helped his team from the St. James area to win the championship at a Christmas tournament.

In the finals Brayden found away to keep out several 2 on 0 chances and then shut down the other team in a sudden death shootout. Congrats Brayden! Good to see success at such a young age, all the training has paid off!

Young Gordie Kinsman has helped his team win their last two games of the season! Gordie's key saves throughout each game has made a big impact on his teams recent success.

Gordie ended the season strong beating both Fort Gary, 2 - 1, and Assiniboine West, 5 - 3.

Prairies Goaltender Shines

As the GDI Prairies team finished wrapping up a goaltending clinic for the St. James Hockey Association we caught a glimpse of Patrick Wiens who stood tall in his net. Wiens has been highly committed to training on and off the ice with GDI.

As the end of the first half of the season approaches we here at GDI wish Patrick Wiens the best of luck for the rest of the season!
